Anan Wildlife Observatory
Beginning in July until about the end of August,
Anan Creek hosts the largest pink salmon run in Southeast Alaska.

With Eagles and Ravens overhead and Bears and Salmon in the creek, see nature at her best.

Your guide will escort you from the boat to the Observatory on a partially board-walked, easy to moderately-difficult trail that is well maintained by the U.S. Forest Service. Although the bears also use the trail, confrontations are rare.

Our guides have been escorting people into the Anan for the past
20 years without incidence.

Even though the Anan is primarily a Black Bear Observatory,
occasionally Brown Bears will stray into the area.
